Early Life
Marie developed her passion for music growing up in a household where music was always enriched and expressed through a variety of different genres. With gratitude to her parents, Marie and her sisters were always entertained with modern music from her era. Her father, whom enjoyed serenading her mother in his younger years, always came home with the latest LP to add to the family collection. It included the greatest classic hits ranging from the 60’s, through to the 80’s. Marie has treasured her vinyl collection up to this day.
Starting singing lessons at The National Music School in her late teen's, Marie not only discovered the strengths and versatility in singing, but found the ability to grow confident through her many live performances. It gave her the opportunity to find an avenue of expressing certain songs she related to, cultivating her husky vocals with passion and emotion.
Rhythm of Emotions
Later, Marie went on to embark on her own musical journey. Inspired by her favourite Pop and RnB influences of the '70s and 80's who she grew up singing along with on the radio, Marie chose to venture out by making her own mark in the industry.
She began to write her own lyrics and create her own melodies that signified her taste and style in music.
“ It was the most empowering experience for me being able to just sit in the moment and write down exactly what I felt at that particular time and turning it into a song I could call my own ".
The songs and lyrics presented on Marie’s album “Rhythm Of Emotions” feature a variety of mixed styles and genres. Her songs were crafted to celebrate the spirit of each lyric and meaning behind certain memories she endured throughout her life. The title of the album “Rhythm of Emotions" speaks for itself. Portraying every emotion she had experienced from love, joy, pain, sorrow, strength, doubts, fears and loss. ..
Soul Survivor
Marie has now stepped into a different arena. In the making of her new album “Soul Survivor”, which was enhanced by an experience in her life as a Victim of Crime.
Through her adversity living with ( PTSD ) Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Marie was able to find solace in her spiritual faith to overcome her greatest trials and tribulations, finding the power in two things she upholds strong in her heart “Her Faith and Music “. It was those two tools she chose to utilize that became the turning point which contributed in her transformation from a Victim to a Victor!

The only music theory Marie truly believes in is “SING WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND ALL YOUR SOUL”, for within that deepest place is the ability to connect with the audience having them mesmerised and drawn into a story you long to express. That’s an achievement in itself!
Marie hopes to inspire people with her songs by lifting their spirits with lyrics that become food for their soul and hope for their future.

Marie has almost completed writing her Memoir / Biography " Soul Survivor - A portrait of Evil ", and aims to launch both her book and album together by early 2019.
Her mission is not only to share her story but contribute the proceeds from her music sales into the lives of others less fortunate..
Its her ultimate goal and dream to be a voice for other victim's , whilst encouraging all people from diverse walks of life with the very tools the lord has provided that can help transform their lives with great faith, hope and confidence no matter the circumstance.
